Our
benevolence ministry strives to provide some degree of support in
times of crisis and emergency. The Whittier Church of Christ has
always served as a place of solace and shelter to those in need.
What We Do:
Help with food (we do not want anyone going
hungry)
Small emergency loans (e.g.
medication, etc.)
Help set up pay plans with credit
agencies
Provide love and encouragement in the loss
of loved ones
What We Don’t Do:
Make house or mortgage payments
Pay rent
Make automobile or credit
card payments
Pay major medical bills
We have a limited budget that must be distributed
fairly for an entire fiscal year. We share the many blessings that
our Lord has bestowed upon us with careful consideration and an open
heart & mind.
